Governor Pence Directs Flags At Half Staff Wednesday

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence has directed flags across the state of Indiana to be flown at half-staff in tribute to President Abraham Lincoln.

 On April 14th, 1865, Lincoln was shot by John Wilkes Booth during a performance of “Our American Cousin'' at Ford's Theater in Washington. The morning of April 15th at 7:22 a.m., Lincoln passed away from the wound.

Flags should be lowered at sunrise and remain at half-staff until sunset on Wednesday.
