Greenfield Indiana Police Say Man Tried to Abduct 2 Girls

GREENFIELD, Ind. (AP) – Authorities in central Indiana are looking for a man they say tried to abduct two 11-year-old girls.

Greenfield police say a man approached the girls around 3 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex playground on the west side of the city about 20 miles east of Indianapolis.

Deputy Chief Derek Towle says the man tried to entice the girls to go with him by showing them a large amount of money. The man then put the money in a car, returned to the playground and exposed himself.

The girls ran to an apartment and reported the incident. The man, either bald or with very short hair, left in a silver PT Cruiser and traveled west on U.S. 40. The car has a white license plate with one non-working taillight.
