COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ The group working to get a marijuana legalization issue on Ohio's fall ballot is separately proposing to have some related crimes expunged if its legalization amendment is approved by voters. 

ResponsibleOhio says its “Fresh Start Act'' calls for reviewing and expunging criminal records for people with previous marijuana convictions if their actions would no longer be considered illegal under the legalization amendment. The group submitted the proposal to the attorney general, who must clear the language for it to continue on the path to the ballot. 

ResponsibleOhio wants to create 10 designated grow sites around the state and says it has collected more than enough valid signatures to get that question before voters this fall. 

A different group hopes to get a broader marijuana legalization issue on next year's ballot.
