Harsh Indiana Winter Raises Spring Fire Danger

WASHINGTON, Ind. (AP): Indiana's harsh winter is increasing the risk of fire. Washington Township Volunteer Fire Chief Tony Wichmanin says the cold weather killed off a lot of vegetation that will burn quickly. The National Weather Service posted a warning of an enhanced wildfire danger today for several southern Indiana counties.
