FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Headwaters Park Ice Skating Rink will close for the season at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3.

The Executive Director of the Headwaters Park Alliance, Geoff Paddock, will be presenting a gift tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. to a lucky skater at the rink.  Also Paddock will be announcing the record breaking number of skaters for this season, and the cumulative number of skaters over the 16 seasons of operation.

Paddock says “We appreciate the tens of thousands of skaters who came out again this season.  While we have to close the rink and prepare Headwaters Park for its 23rd festival season beginning in April, we will reopen the rink for season number 17 on Saturday November 16.”

The Ice Skating Rink is located under the Lincoln Financial Pavilion in Headwaters Park.
