FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A data error has put Fort Wayne Community Schools in a tough place.

The district is apparently patching up a financial blow after old data was used to calculate a complexity index – a chart that can persuade extra funding for at-risk students.

According to the Journal Gazette, the recent House Republican school funding plan has led to a large reduction in cash for Fort Wayne and more than 100 districts around the state.

The budget faces changes, now that it's in the Senate.
