LOGANSPORT, Ind. (AP) _ The Wabash River has returned to its normal flow in northern Indiana after an ice jam caused some problems.

WLFI-TV reports the ice jam raised the level of the river by 8 feet west of Logansport and forced some residents to evacuate because of flooding concerns. The number of evacuations wasn't reported.

Cass County Emergency Management Director Alvin Beckman says the river has returned to its normal flow as the ice heads downriver toward Carroll and Tippecanoe counties.

Emergency management directors in Carroll and Tippecanoe counties say they do not expect the ice to cause problems there.
