Illinois Governor: “Rip

CHICAGO (WOWO): A jobs battle is brewing.

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner tells the Chicago Tribune he's coming after Hoosier jobs. He kicked off-six day tour Monday to outline his recovery plans.

Part of that strategy is to lure Indiana jobs to Illinois.

A confident Rauner boasted, “Believe me, I am going to rip — try to rip the economic guts out of Indiana,” Rauner said. “I am one of the baddest, you know, enemies anybody can have. And when I set a goal, we do it. I don't care what the headline is. I want the results. And we're coming after Indiana big time. But you know what, we're going to do it on our terms, the right way.”

Repeatedly Indiana Governor Mike Pence says Indiana's economy is the envy of the Midwest because of its prime business climate. Illinois is projected to have a deficit of $6 billion dollars.
