Indiana COVID-19 death toll surpasses 6,000

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The Indiana Department of Health reported 124 deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday, pushing the state’s death toll to more than 6,000.

The deaths, which occurred between Nov. 19 and Dec. 7, push the number of deaths due to the virus to 6,109. The department also reported 5,457 new positive cases.

Indiana’s 7-day positivity rate among unique individuals stands at 27.6 percent.
