Indiana Dept. of Revenue Offers Hoosier Taxpayer Questions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana Department of Revenue is offering tips to make sure Hoosiers get the most from their taxes this year.

With tax season underway, many Hoosiers are wondering if it's a good idea to hire a taxpayer. The Indiana Department of Revenue says it might not always be a good idea exposing your personal information to someone you may not know.

Another important tip is to know your gross income for 2014 and what that amount was when you filed your taxes last year. If those two numbers are similar, your overall tax return may also be similar depending the events in 2014, and what kind of new return items you're able to apply for.

Any taxpayer questions can be sent to the Indiana Department of revenue at http://www.in.gov/dor/  or by calling 317-232-2240.
