FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The FAA has officially designated Indiana as one of its newest Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Test Sites.

Senator Todd Young announced the selection today, noting that the state’s advanced manufacturing and defense assets—like Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck—make it the perfect fit.

The move is expected to bring new research jobs and private investment as Indiana helps lead the way in “American drone dominance” and airspace security.
