Indiana Faces Deadline on New Education Standards

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The national spotlight is on Indiana's education leaders as they speed toward a deadline to replace Common Core learning standards with benchmarks crafted by the state. Indiana became the first state to drop the Common Core in March. The State Board of Education is scurrying to finish new guidelines to replace them by June.
