Indiana State Police responded to over 400 crashes Wednesday, roads are still slippery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana State Police were busy Wednesday as police, snow plows and ice trucks worked to make the roadways safe for Hoosiers during the snow storm

From 6 a.m. to 11: 59 p.m. Wednesday, Indiana State Police responded to:

  • 220 property damage crashes
  • 60 personal injury crashes
  • 228 slide-offs
  • 176 assisted motorists

Thankfully there were no fatal crashes.
A winter storm warning still covers areas north and west of Allen County and a winter weather advisory is in effect for Fort Wayne through 4 p.m. Thursday.
