An Indiana National Guard unit that lost six members of its company during a deployment to Afghanistan has returned to the state. Hundreds of relatives and friends greeted 89 members of the Valparaiso-based 713th Engineer Company yesterday at the Gary Army Aviation Support Facility. It’s the heaviest toll any Indiana National Guard unit.
