Indianapolis Dad Arrested In Adult Son’s Shooting Death

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indianapolis father has been arrested in the fatal shooting of his 22-year-old son.

Forty-six-year-old Fred Fleener III faces a voluntary manslaughter charges in the death of Fred Fleener IV.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot at a home just before 11 am. Saturday and found Fred Fleener IV suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to a hospital, where he died while undergoing surgery.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the victim was shot by his father during an argument over biscuits and gravy at the home.

Fred Fleener III is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
