IU Prof to Set Up Math Research Center in Russia

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP): An Indiana University professor who formerly taught high school math in Russia has been awarded $2.7 million to establish a new mathematics laboratory in Russia.
 
Vladimir Touraev has won one of 42 special grants awarded by the Russian government this year. The grants go to scientists from around the world so they can conduct research in Russia.
