Johnny Appleseed Festival Low on Apples

The Johnny Appleseed fesitival without apples? No…not really, but they have been having some challenges finding enough apples for the festival. Typcically, the early fall event has an over-abundance of the tasty treat; however, because of this year’s drought it’s become more of a challenge than in years past, but they will have enough and the festival will go on. The folks from PETA have asked the organizers to go vegeterian during the event. They say that Johnny was actually a vegeterian and that he should be honored that way. The festival board says they will leave that up to next year’s vendors; however, meat will still be on the menu.
