KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) – A judge accepts a plea agreement in which a central Indiana man will admit reckless homicide and cocaine possession charges in the slaying of a friend whose body he stuffed inside an unplugged freezer.
 
An amended deal accepted Wednesday leaves the sentencing of 53-year-old Walter Logan up to a judge. The Kokomo Tribune reports the deal previously called for a maximum 20-year sentence.
 
Prosecutors agreed to drop murder and criminal confinement charges in the November slaying of 29-year-old Alex Shipp.
 
Logan told investigators he and Shipp fought and he used duct tape to bind Shipp's hands and feet and cover Shipp's mouth and nose. When he later realized Shipp was dead, he stuffed the body inside the freezer at his home about 50 miles north of Indianapolis.
