Judge Sets Trial Date for Man Charged in Barbershop Attack

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) _ A trial date has been set for a central Indiana man accused in the fatal shooting of one man and the beating of another inside a barbershop last November.

Twenty-six-year-old Raymond Johnson was arrested in August and charged with murder, robbery and aggravated battery for the attack at the Divine Stylez-n-Cutz Barbershop in Anderson about 2 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

The Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/1XlWWLd) reports that a judge set Nov. 16 as a final date for a plea agreement and Dec. 1 as the trial date. Defense attorney Bryan Williams said Wednesday that the case likely will go to trial.

Police say 24-year-old Brandon Boone was visiting the shop when he was killed by a masked man who was among two who robbed the shop of several hundred dollars. Boone's brother was beaten with a baseball bat.
