Jury Selection Begins For Fort Wayne Stabbing Trial

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Jury selection has begun in a 2013 murder case.

38 year old Freddie Alcantar Junior is charged with murdering his mother-in-law at a northeast Fort Wayne home in August of 2013. 

59 year old Debra Jones was found dead in her home on Myanna Lane, which is near St. Joe Center and Maplecrest. The Allen County Coroner determined that Jones died of stab wounds. 

Alcantar was eventually found by U.S. Marshals in the Los Angeles area in January of 2014 after allegedly trying to flee.
