Lane closures planned on I-69 in Allen and Huntington Counties Thursday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (INDOT Press Release): The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that Interstate 69 will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Thursday, Nov. 10, weather permitting.
The lane closures will take place between mile marker 291 to 295 while work continues on a bridge replacement project over Flat Creek in Huntington County and Eight Mile Creek in Allen County.
A construction zone speed limit of 55 mph will be strictly enforced. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through an active work zone. Two lane traffic is expected to be restored by Nov. 18.
Work on I-69 bridges over Flat Creek and Eight Mile Creek was awarded to Kenny Construction Company for $4.8 million.
Work on the two-construction season project is expected to be complete by late 2017.
