Ligonier woman found with meth in broken-down car

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WOWO): A Ligonier woman had some tough luck Sunday.

LaGrange County troopers were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle a little after 8 p.m. Sunday night. The vehicle was parked east of LaGrange on County Road 525 and County Road 450 East.

In the vehicle, the officers found Mendy Myers, 43, who claimed her 1988 Oldsmobile had broken down.

During the investigation, police found meth as well as drug paraphernalia. They also learned that Myers had two warrants out of Elkhart County for contempt.

She’s currently in LaGrange County Jail on charges of possession of meth, marijuana, paraphernalia and maintaining  a common nuisance.
