FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after a shooting that happened Friday night on the south side of Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Police Department tells WOWO News officers were called to a home on Fay Drive, a block west of Broadway, at about 8:50pm to find a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was taken to an area hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

Police believe someone fired a gunshot from outside the home and struck the man, who was inside the residence. Investigators are currently speaking with possible witnesses, and are asking anyone with information on this crime to contact them or Fort Wayne Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.
