Man Fatally Shot after Fight at Indianapolis Club

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Police say a 33-year-old Indianapolis man was fatally shot outside a city nightclub after he was denied entrance, started a fight and stabbed two people in the parking lot.

Police have identified the deceased man as Andrew Sobers. The attack happened just before 3 a.m. Friday at the Black Diamond nightclub near the Lafayette Square shopping mall on the city's northwest side.

Officer Christopher Wilburn says Sobers became angry and argued with a group of men in the parking lot, pulling out a knife and stabbing two men. Another person then shot the attacker several times.

Wilburn says officers have the shooter in custody and the two stabbed men were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
