Man Killed in Shooting at South Bend Gas Station

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) – Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally shot outside a gas station on the west side of South Bend.

Officers were called to Always Open on Tuesday night on a report of a shooting. A male victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

South Bend police say it's unclear how many shots were fired and how many times the man was shot.

Officer Scott Ruszkowski says none of the station's gas pumps were hit during the shooting.

No suspects were in custody as of late Tuesday night.

An investigation is ongoing.
