DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): An Ohio man is recovering after losing control of his car and crashing into a barn.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies tell WOWO News, around 9:30pm Friday, 23-year-old Sklyer Navarro of Hicksville Ohio, was driving eastbound in the 8000 block of SR 8 when he veered off the side of the road. He then reentered the roadway, but lost control again. Navarro traveled through the yard of 8076 SR 8 where he struck a large barn causing the vehicle to roll.

Speed was believed to be a factor in the crash and Navarro was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The barn sustained damage where the impact occurred.
