Man Robs Gas Station on City’s Northeast Side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Fort Wayne Police were dispatched to the BP gas station at Stellhorn and Maplecrest roads after reports of an armed robbery. An employee told officials that a man walked up to the counter holding a handgun, and demanded cash. A witness waiting at a nearby bus stop told police the suspect took off running southbound on Maplecrest.

Police describe the suspect as a 20-year-old black male with a skinny build, and about 5'11''.
