Man sentenced to nearly 12 years for bank robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to nearly 12 years in prison after pleading guilty in a 2016 bank robbery.

Rasheed Stukes, 27, was sentenced to 140 months in prison followed by two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to bank robbery and using a dangerous weapon during such act.

Court documents reveal Stukes and two others tried to rob the 1st Source Bank on Dupont Road west of North Clinton Street back on April 11, 2016. Officials say a weapon was used to cause injury to another person during the robbery and a person was forced to join the robbers against their will during the robbery.
