ORLAND, Ind. (WOWO): A man driving in Orland couldn't avoid hitting a child on his bike.

Sunday night around 8:13 p.m., 55 year old Bucky Sterling was driving westbound on CR 700 N west of SR 327. At the same time, 8 year old Ulises Munoz rode his bicycle into the road from a private driveway.

The man driving his truck couldn't avoid hitting the child. Munoz was pronounced dead at the scene by the Steuben County Coroner, reported as blunt force trauma.

The crash is still under investigation.
