FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was taken to a hospital after a barricade situation that lasted over 2 hours overnight. Police were called just before midnight Thursday to High Street near St. Mary's Avenue after a 911 call from the suspect who said he wanted to harm himself and would harm any officer that came up to his house. After 2 hours and 40 minutes, two distraction devices were deployed. After they were detonated, the suspect, a 25-year-old man, surrendered. He was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation.
