Indianapolis, Ind. (WOWO) — The annual Mecum Auction Spring Classic returns to Indiana State Fairgrounds from May 8–16, 2026, bringing one of the largest collector car events in the world to Indianapolis.

Known as Dana Mecum’s “Original Spring Classic,” this nine-day event has become a staple for automotive enthusiasts, collectors, and casual spectators alike.

David Morton, with Mecum Auction says, “More than 3,000 vehicles will cross the auction block, ranging from vintage classics and muscle cars to rare motorcycles and high-end exotics.

In addition to vehicles, attendees can explore “Road Art” memorabilia—and the Dodge Thrill Ride, on a drifting course letting a professional driver spin you around and have some fun!”

The event runs daily beginning at 8:00 a.m., with vehicle auctions typically starting mid-morning and continuing throughout the day.
