Meet Fort Wayne’s new manager of development services

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The city of Fort Wayne has a new manager of development services.

City Utilities announced Thursday afternoon that DeWayne Nodine will start on June 13 as the manager of development services.

He’s replacing Nancy Townsend, who left the position when she became director of the redevelopment commission Feb. 1.

Nodine worked as the program manager for Capital Project Services since 2013. In that position, he helped City Utilities acquire property and easements for neighborhood improvements.

He was also worked as a town manager, land surveyor and country planner. He has a bachelor’s degree in land surveying engineering from Purdue University and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Ball State University.

In his new position he’ll be responsible of ensure new development is safe for Fort Wayne residents and the environment.
