MIDWEST, (WOWO) — A new drought outlook from the National Weather Service highlights Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio for potential drought development this September.
Rainfall has been below normal across much of the region-including parts of lower Michigan-for several weeks.
Dry conditions are expected to continue through mid-month.
Forecasters note that while concerning, fall droughts in the Midwest aren’t unusual.
