Monday night crash in DeKalb County, two injured

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Two people were injured after a crash in DeKalb County Monday night.

A PT Cruiser was traveling northbound on SR 1 and failed to yield at a stop sign placed at the SR 1 and SR 8 intersection, pulled in front of a Ford Freestyle that was traveling eastbound on SR 8.

The Ford Freestyle struck the PT Cruiser on its side, causing it to leave the intersection, strike a utility pole and travel northeast into a field.

The Ford continued traveling east, also coming to rest in a field.

The driver of the PT Cruiser was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and listed in critical/unstable condition.

The driver of the Ford Freestyle was also transported to PRMC with minor injuries after complaining of pain to her legs and hands.
