Moped Crash Victim Dies from Injuries

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has died after crashing his moped late last month.

The Allen County Coroner's Office says 37-year-old Eric Byrd was drunk when he crashed his moped on Taylor Street early on October 22nd in Fort Wayne. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and the coroner says the cause of death is blunt force trauma.

 Byrd is the 26th traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County for 2015.
