FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A motel on Fort Wayne's east side is expected to be inspected next week.

According to a report in the News-Sentinel, owners of the Hallmark Inn on East Washington Blvd, east of downtown had successfully blocked condemnation last month.

The city had threatened operators with condemnation claiming some parts of the unit will unfit for habitation.

City officials told the newspaper, the inspection is part of the ongoing evaluation.
