Mother Dies 4 Days after Fire Killed 2 Children

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A hospital official says a woman has died four days after she was badly burned in a fire that killed two of her young children at the family's rural central Indiana home.
 
       Wishard Memorial Hospital spokesman Todd Harper says 27-year-old Serina Slusher-Abbott died early Tuesday.
 
       She had been in critical condition at the Indianapolis hospital since Friday after fire roared through a house in the Johnson County town of Nineveh.
 
       Authorities say 6-month-old John Slusher-Abbott and 18-month-old Haley Slusher-Abbott died when they were trapped inside the family's second-floor apartment. Serina Slusher-Abbott's husband was at work when the fire broke out, while their 5-year-old daughter escaped uninjured.
 
       The fire's cause hasn't yet been determined.
