HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): A Huntington woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for giving her baby heroin.

22 year old Shaniquea Nutter of Huntington was sentenced Tuesday. She'll serve six years in prison with four years suspended. 

She pleaded guilty last month to neglect of a dependent and dealing in a narcotic for allowing her three week old baby to suck heroin off of her finger. 

Her husband, 32 year old Jason Nutter of Huntington, is facing similar charges. Investigators say he watched the crime happen and did nothing to stop it. His next court date is November 9th.
