Movie Sales Down After Dark Knight Shooting

The movie theater massacre from last week has people still nervous about going to the theatre. A study by NRG research shows that 20 to 25% of moviegoers nationwide say they will not be taking in a flick this weekend because of fears over last weeks shooting and the fear there may be a copycat out there plotting the same type of thing. The receipts from the most recent Batman movie have the film bringing in a little better than 337 million dollars, which isn’t bad, it’s just not as good as they were hoping for.
