Muncie Man Jailed For Human Trafficking

MARION, Ind. (WOWO) — A 28-year-old Munice Man is behind bars after allegedly trying to sell a 16-year-old girl.

The victim told police that Anthony Franko Smith is “known for selling kids for dope”.

Police discovered the incident when they responded to a disturbance call after the girl asked a passerby for help.

Responding officers found the girl with fresh cuts on her face which she received when she tried to escape and Franko Smith forced her to remain in the car.

He’s facing seven charges including human trafficking, criminal confinement, and possession of narcotics.
