NE Indiana Woman Honored for Conservation Efforts

ANGOLA, Ind. (AP): A northeastern Indiana woman is being honored by the White House for her conservation efforts. Carrie Vollmer-Sanders of Angola is among 14 people who will receive Champions of Change awards “for their efforts to engage communities and youth in environmental stewardship and conservation.'' The White House says the Champions of Change program honors people for “doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities.''
