INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Nearly 100 immigrants in Indiana from close to 40 nations now are American citizens.
 
  U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker presided over the naturalization ceremony for 97 new citizens Wednesday at the historic Indianapolis home of Benjamin Harrison, the nation's 23rd president.
 
  Organizers told WISH-TV that Harrison's role in the opening of Ellis Island _ the U.S. entry point for many immigrants _ makes his home a logical choice for the ceremony.
 
  Nationwide, more than 7,800 people are scheduled to become citizens this week during more than 100 special ceremonies in the U.S. and abroad.  The naturalization ceremonies are being held in celebration of the nation's 237th birthday.
