New Student Database Draws Praise, Privacy Fears

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Plans to create a database filled with every Indiana student's achievement test scores, college degrees and job histories are raising privacy concerns among some parents and experts. The Indiana Network of Knowledge will track students from elementary school through college and into the workforce. State officials say it will help them identify trends and tailor the education system to better meet employers' needs.
