FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Are you ready for even more road work in Fort Wayne?

The Fort Wayne City Council approved the contracts and agreements for the next phase of a realignment project for State Boulevard last night.

The city will spend a total of almost $9.34-million on three contracts that will see work done on State from Clinton Street to just past Cass Street, according to the Journal Gazette, and includes the replacement of a bridge over Spy Run Creek.

Councilman Russ Jehl was the only “no” vote based on traffic concerns that have been raised by his constituents. Phase 1 of construction started five months ago.
