Nothern Indiana Sheriff: Teen had explosive at county fair…

  LAPORTE, Ind. (AP) _ Police say they arrested a teenager at a northern Indiana county fair with explosives in his backpack after a concerned citizen alerted authorities he planned to detonate it near carnival rides.
 
  WNDU-TV reports authorities quickly found the suspect Thursday night. Police say he was carrying a suspicious device in a backpack that was dismantled by the Porter County Bomb Squad.
 
  The teenager was charged with possession of a destructive device. Another teenager was charged with manufacturing a destructive device. Both were brought to the Juvenile Services Center. 
 
  A third teenager who argued with police and kicked officers while the teen with the backpack was searched was subdued using pepper spray. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, battery to a police officer and resisting law enforcement.
