Ohio Cell Phone Ban

A no phone zone sign on a green wall

OHIO, (WOWO) — This year Ohio Students will be welcomed back with a recently approved cell phone ban.

Under the law, signed by Governor Mike DeWine, students will be limited in their access to their phones throughout the day – but they will still be able to use them for health reasons or learning.

DeWine said the near constant notifications on the phones made it difficult for students to learn.

NBC4 Columbus says DeWine has long been a staunch supporter of cell phone bans.
