Ohio Fire Department Awarded Federal Grants

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Tens of thousands of dollars of federal aid is coming to two Ohio Fire Departments.

The Department of Homeland Security announced that City of Defiance's Fire and Rescue has been awarded more $72,000 dollars.

It's part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program from the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA.
 
In Putnam County, the Leipsic Volunteer Fire Department will receive about $64,000.
