One Dead, One in Critical Condition After Williams County Crash

BRYAN, Ohio (WOWO): The Defiance Post of the Highway Patrol is currently investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday on US 6 near milepost 13 in Williams County.

Police say 32-year-old Amy Bibler was driving westbound on US 6 when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, went airborne, and then overturned into a creek. Bibler and her passenger, 35-year-old Richard Eagleson III, were trapped in the partially submerged car. Both Bibler and Eagleson were removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and taken to a nearby hospital. Eagleson died at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash, and Bibler is currently in critical condition.

Neither of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The incident remains under investigation.
