One killed and two injured in LaGrange County crash

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – One person has died and two others were injured in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road Tuesday morning.

An investigation revealed that just before 10 a.m., a white Honda passenger car, driven by 66-year-old Marie Besancon of Stryker, Ohio, was traveling westbound on the Toll Road in the area of mile marker 115.3 when for an unknown reason crossed the center median and continued into the eastbound driving lane.

The car then struck a black Honda passenger car.

Besancon was pronounced dead at the scene by the LaGrange County Coroner.

The driver and passenger of the black Honda were taken via medical helicopter to South Bend Memorial Hospital, and their conditions are currently unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
