One Killed by Officer During Indianapolis Drug Raid

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Authorities say a police officer fatally shot a person while serving a warrant with a drug task force at an Indianapolis apartment complex.
 
The shooting happened about 6 a.m. Thursday at the complex on the city's west side. Indianapolis police Sgt. Linda Jackson says the officer was part of the Metro Drug Task Force involving the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and city and suburban officers.
 
Jackson says the officers were inside the apartment when a person pointed a gun at them. That person was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The identity of the person killed wasn't immediately released.
